With over 20 years of bait building experience and 60+ molds I build almost anything with a hook,lead, and wire. Jigheads, jigs, bladed jigs, buzzbaits,spinnerbaits, Alabama Rigs, and more. I dont limit my colors to a certain list or set #, I will customize or modify any color and sometimes even the features of the jigheads themselves. My favorite thing however is the hybrids skirt designs I employ on my bladed jigs and spinnerbaits. Do you want you want to pick your own colors? Not just the skirt either, I'm talking customize the jighead paint scheme, the blade colors, everything!

Our story didn't start in an office; it began in the muddy creeks and sprawling flats of the coast. We spent the better part of our lives mastering the marsh, relentlessly targeting redfish, flounder, and trout. Those early mornings chasing the tailing reds and rhythmic casting into the grass lines weren't just hobbies—they were the foundation of everything we do today. That lifelong passion for the inshore slam and the thrill of a screaming reel drives every piece of gear we share with you.

Nomad Bait Co. started as me and my daughter hanging out in the garage, just messing around painting a few lures and learning as we went. I got into it because it is fun and I have always liked the detail and artwork on certain baits. Now I paint hard baits and make soft plastics, all done by hand. I try to keep everything clean and a little different. I am not trying to mass produce anything, I just enjoy making unique baits that look good and still get bit.

My name is Hunter Stroud, owner and founder of Strouds Custom Glides & Baits (SCGB). At 27 years old, I’ve spent my entire life in the outdoors—whether it’s chasing waterfowl, calling in spring gobblers, or spending long days on the water fishing. The outdoors isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a lifestyle. I officially started SCGB in August of 2025, but the passion behind it was built long before that.
